The mailing list is not archived because:

• It hasn't been historically.
• People do not want their casual conversations to come back to haunt them.
• The list maintainer does not wish to maintain an archive.
• No one has stepped forward to create one.
• No one has championed the concept.

HOWEVER! That means that the group must work to preserve shared knowledge in other ways. The primary way is, of course, adding to this wiki. Secondarily, we can put knowledge on other perl community sites, such as perlmonks, or even our own personal websites/blogs.

So be fruitful and document!
